We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our growing cybersecurity team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain security solutions that protect our cloud infrastructure, applications, networks, and enterprise systems. You will collaborate with software engineers, DevOps teams, IT administrators, and security analysts to identify security risks, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for building secure environments, monitoring security events, responding to incidents, performing vulnerability assessments, and implementing security controls across our technology stack. You will also help develop security policies, automate security processes, and contribute to improving our organization’s overall cybersecurity posture.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security infrastructure.
- Monitor and investigate security alerts and suspicious activities.
- Deploy and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, and endpoint security solutions.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) best practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts.
- Conduct security reviews of applications, networks, and infrastructure.
- Respond to security incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assist with compliance initiatives including ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and NIST.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
- Prepare technical documentation and security reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional cybersecurity or security engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of network security, TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and firewalls.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud security services.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or QRadar.
- Experience managing endpoint security and EDR solutions.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Experience with vulnerability management and security hardening.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container security.
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CCSP, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.
