Cost Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to monitor, analyze, and control production and operational costs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost reports, evaluating manufacturing expenses, supporting budgeting activities, and providing financial insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production, labor, material, and overhead costs
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports
• Develop and maintain standard costing systems
• Monitor inventory valuation and perform cost reconciliations
• Conduct variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve cost efficiency
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing financial documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in cost accounting or financial accounting
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of GAAP and inventory accounting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
